Free landfill use part of annual Fall Cleanup

The Morgan County Fall Cleanup is set for Sept. 27-Oct. 2. The event is hosted by the Morgan County Commission and Morgan County Adopt-A-Mile.
During the cleanup, unwanted items can be taken to the local district shop or the county landfill at no charge.  Proof of residency is required.
Non-acceptable items include shingles, tires, household garbage, lumber or hazardous chemicals.
Landfull hours are Monday – Friday 6 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Saturday 7-11 a.m.
District shop schedules are:
• District One – Located on Central Parkway below the railroad overpass on the Beltline will be open Oct. 2 from 7-11 a.m. only.
• District Two – Located on Shull Road North of Homestyle Barbecue at I-65 and Highway 36 in Hartselle will be open Sept. 27-Oct. 1 from 6 a.m.-4 p.m. and Oct. 2 from 7-11 a.m.
• District Three – Located on Highway 55 East of Falkville at Cole Springs will be open Sept. 27-Oct. 1 from 6 a.m.-4 p.m. and Oct. 2 from 7-11 a.m.
• District Four – Located on Union Hill Road east of Cotaco will be open Sept. 27-Oct. 1 from 6 a.m.-4 p.m. and Oct. 2 from 7-11 a.m.
