Scouts invited to shop ‘til they drop

The Shop ‘Til You Drop Lock-In at Decatur Mall in Decatur will be on Sept. 17. Current Girl Scouts, as well as non-members are welcome to attend. Girls can shop and eat from 9 p.m. to midnight, and many vendors are offering special deals.
Rainforest Glow-in-the-Dark Mini-Golf will offer an all-night pass for $5, while Bourbon Street Candy, Common Grounds Café, Great American Cookie Company, Guadalajara Grill and Bonnie Lou’s Diner will be open. The Venetian Carousel will also be available for girls to ride. Chuck E. Cheese will be open and for $6 per person, they will give $5 in tokens, a refillable drink and two slices of pizza.  Maurices, The Shoe Department, Claire’s Boutique, Trade Secret and The Shoe Department will also be open for business.  _
Check in will begin at 7 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m. at the Guadalajara Grill main entrance near the Carousel.  You can pre-register by Sept. 15 to avoid long lines and will receive armbands in advance by calling 866-225-0244.  The registration fee for this event is $3 for registered Girl Scouts, and $15 for non-members.  Girls must be picked up no later than 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
