Event benefits Sheriff’s Ranch

The Alabama Sheriff’s Boys Ranch at Punkin Center will sponsor ”Just Kruzin” as a fundraising project on Saturday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event is open to anything that rolls with all proceeds going to the Boys Ranch.
The mission of the Boys Ranch is to provide a Christian family environment for Alabama’s needy, neglected and abused school- age children, in an atmosphere where they can grow spiritually and physically.
It is a charitable, nonprofit organization that relies solely on donations from concerned individuals, community organizations and businesses.
Christian love and heartfelt prayers go out this week to the following American military personnel and their families: Brandon Jones, Aaron Money, Dusty Smith, Jack C. Herbert, Wes Parker and Tim Brown, all in Afghanistan; John Black, Lance Brown, Anthony Thomas, Matthew Young, Lee Thompson, and Brad Wallace, all in Iraq; Jeremy White, Guam; Chris Brill, home; Levi George, Marine Corps basic training; Josh Fagan, Alaska; Jeffrey Green, Ft. Benning, Ga.; Robert Green, USS Mason; and Derek Jones, Virginia.
May God bless all of our troops and their families. Anyone wishing to add the name of a family member to our prayer lists may do so by emailing vaughn358@bellsouth.net. Special belated happy birthday wishes go out to Gabriel Norton, Maria LaFavor and Summer McGuire, all on Aug. 31.
Special belated happy wedding anniversary wishes go out to Hovis and Martha Wynn. They enjoyed celebrating their 42nd anniversary on Aug. 31.
