Funeral for Marjorie White, 93, of Decatur was Sunday, Aug. 22, at 3 p. m. at First United Methodist Church in Decatur with the Rev. Dr. Terry Greer and the Rev. Charles Boling officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. White died Friday, Aug. 20, at Decatur General Hospital. She was born May 2, 1917, in Lacey’s Spring to James Christopher and Virginia McCutcheon White.  She moved to Priceville when she was 12-years-old and was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church. Her interests included reading, watching old movies, listening to gospel music, working in her yard and flowers and attending family gatherings.
She was preceded  in death by her husband of 64 years, David I. White; three sisters Christine Henderson, Bonnie Wein-man and Bettie Miller and three brothers, J.C. White Jr., T.J. White and Edgar Van “Plug”White.
She is survived by a sister, Sue Timberlake.
Pallbearers were nephews, Jim White, Irvin White, Mike Henderson, Jeffrey “Duffy” Hender-son, Joe Weinman, Doug Weinman, Gil White, Lee White and a great-nephew, Tommy White.
The family extends special thanks to her caregivers, Judy Elliott, Betty Hardiman, Pat Elliott and Jean Nichols for their loving and faithful service. A special thank you is also extended to Dr. Steve Chandler for his many years of medical care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Endowment Fund of First United Methodist Church, 805 Canal Street, NE, Decatur, Al 35601.
