Jerry Timothy Smith

Funeral for Jerry Timothy Smith, 49, of Reeltown was Wednesday, August 11, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Reeltown with the Revs. Ross Kilpatrick and Mark Brumbelow officiating and Jeffcoat Funeral Home of Tallassee directing.
Burial was in Reeltown Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at his residence. He was born May 29, 1961, in Chicago, Ill. and raised in Reeltown. He was employed by the State of Alabama Department of Transportation for 28 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Odis Smith and an infant sister, Martha Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie Kenney Smith; two daughters, Courtney Taylor Smith of Auburn and Allison Brooke Smith of Reeltown; a son, Jackson Wade Smith of Hartselle; his mother, Alice Newman Smith of Reeltown; three brothers, Jack Smith and wife Judy of Reeltown, Jay Smith and wife Elaine of Auburn and Joel Smith and wife Beth of Opelika; four sisters, Angie Harper and husband Charlie of Tallassee, Audrey Hollis and husband Chris of Opelika, Sara Muncher and husband Terry of Mount Juliet, Tenn. and Jinnene Massey and husband Justin of Trussville; a half-sister, Nancy Smith Hagopian of Pensacola, Fla.; two  half-brothers, Mike Smith of Dania Beach, Fla. and Jim Smith of Hollywood, Fla; his devoted parents-in-law, Ralph and June Kenney of Dadeville; sister-in-law, Melody Stiff and husband Dennis of Opelika; brother-in-law, David Kenney and wife Patsy of Newnan, Ga; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
