Rev. Milton Garrison

Funeral for Rev. Milton Garrison, 68, of Hartselle, formerly of Danville, was Mon., Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. at Harmony Grove Church with Dustin Bates and Rachel Westmoreland officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in New Center Cemetery.
Rev. Garrison died Fri., Aug. 6, 2010, at Parkway Medical Center. He was born Nov. 7, 1941, in Winston County to Mitchell and Dessie Perry Garrison. He had two great passions, his family and his ministry. He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Chucky Garrison; and a sister, Ann Reeves.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne Nelson Garrison of Hartselle; two daughters, Teresa Bates and husband Michael and Leisa Cook and husband Barry, all of Hartselle; his mother, Dessie Garrison of Hartselle; two brothers, Doyle Garrison and wife Rosie of Moulton and Rev. Danny Garrison and wife Katrina of Hartselle; four sisters, Gail Kelso and husband Clarence and Kim Victorino, all of Hartselle, Brenda White and husband Roger of Danville and Connie Peck of Decatur; a brother-in-law, Stanley Reeves of Somerville; five grandchildren, Dustin Bates and wife Maria, Tyler Bates and wife Montana, Devin Bates Odell and husband Nathaniel, Canaan Cook and Caleb Cook; and great-grandchild, Jada Maleigh Odell.
Pallbearers were grandsons and nephews.
