A collision involving a motorcycle and a sports utility vehicle claimed the life of a Hartselle woman on Highway 31, north, in Hartselle Friday night.
Killed in the accident was Gayla Stickles, 49, a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her husband, Richard Stickles, 51. She was thrown from the motorcycle when it collided with the rear end of a sports utility vehicle between Lowe’s and the Highway 31 and Sparkman Street intersection.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. as both vehicles were moving south on Highway 31, according to Hartselle Police Investigator Lt. Justin Barley.
