• Manquez F. Jones has entered Basic Cadet Training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy.  He is the son of Terri and Johnny Jones of Hartselle. Jones is a 2009 graduate of Hartselle High School.
• Army Reserve Spec. Jonathan D. Callahan is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraq or Afghanistan in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom or Enduring Freedom, respectively. Callahan, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialist, is a member of the 490th Chemical Battalion Detachment 2, Anniston, Ala.  He is the son of Marion R. and Joy J. Callahan of Tallahassee, Fla. His wife, Jessica, is the daughter of Howard and Faith Beecher of Hartselle.

Marquez T. Jones has entered Basic Cadet Training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy.  The six-week, two-phased orientation program must be successfully completed by the cadets prior to entering their freshman year.  The training prepares men and women to meet the rigorous mental and physical challenges experienced by new cadets.
He is the son of Terri and Johnny Jones of Hartselle.
Jones is a 2009 graduate of Hartselle High School.
