Funeral for Cleo Prater Thompson, 74, of Danville was Tue., July 20, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Richard Riley and Francis Proctor officiating.
Burial was at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died Sun., July 18, 2010, at her residence. She was born Nov. 8, 1935, to the late Lucian Prater and Lodine Walker Prater. She was employed by the Lawrence Corporation as a floor girl and was a member of Speake Christian Fellow-ship Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Thompson and her parents.
She is survived by two sons, Billy ‘Bull’ Thomp-son and wife Susan of Danville and Yancy Thompson of Decatur; two daughters, Anna Thompson Callahan and Angela K. Thompson, both of Danville; two brothers, James Ray Prater of Danville and Scotty Prater of Decatur; four sisters, Geraldine Fulmer, Silvia Proctor, Nancy Weaver and Carolyn Archer, all of Danville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Timothy Proctor, Matthew Callahan, Rodney Weaver, Wayne Gurganus, Jeremy Sparks and David Archer.
