Funeral for Ina Dunaway Johnston, 81, of Somerville was Tue., July 13, at 2 p.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church with the Rev. Vandon Windsor officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Johnston died Fri., July 9, 2010, at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester, Tenn. She was born June 2, 1929, in Morgan County to Thomas C. Dunaway and Dooma E. Lynn Dunaway. She was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Thomas P. Johnston; her husband of 55 years, George L.C. Johnston; two sisters, Arlean Sivley and Leevella McGee; and a brother, Billy Joe Dunaway.
She is survived by a son, Tate Clark Johnston of Somerville; two daughters, Anita Johnston Wade and husband Lloyd of Somerville and Denise Bowman and husband Bob of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Lola Nixon Johnston of Centre; a brother, Gilbert Dunaway of Valhermoso Springs; a sister, Dorothy Watkins of Somerville; three grandchildren, Thomas James Wade and wife Abigail of Montgomery, Ryan Michael Wade of Auburn and Marlena Claire Johnston of Centre.
Pallbearers were Ryan Wade, Thomas Wade, Lloyd Wade, Bob Bowman, Clark Johnston and Vaughn Winton.
