Priceville girl injured at pool

Seven-year old Kinsley Bound of Priceville suffered a bruised back and a scraped elbow when she fell from the high diving board at Hartselle’s Municipal Swimming Pool on Tuesday, June 29.
A pool spokesperson said the accident happened at approximately 7:20 p.m. after the young girl walked to the end of the diving board to jump off and changed her mind. As she was making her way off the board she apparently slipped and lost her balance, landing on her lower back on the edge of the pool.
Hartselle Fire Department and Morgan County EMS reponded to the accident and administered emergency first aid. The girl was taken to Hartselle Medical Center where she was examined, treated and released.
“She is badly bruised and very sore,” a family spokesman said on Thursday. “It was a bad fall and we’re thankful her injuries were not life-threatening.”
