A celebration of patriotism is planned for Sept. 11, commemorating the attacks on America nine years ago.
Deputy Rick Sherman and others are planning the family oriented event. It will include every fire department in the county, law enforcement, as well as representatives from the military. They will be bringing their vechicles to the Sheriff’s Posse Grounds on Sept. 11. The free event will aso feature entertainment throughout the day.
“We want to let the public meet the first responders,” Sherman said. “We want to get everybody to come out and join the celebration.”
There will also be a fireworks show at night.
