Slates celebrate 60th anniversary

Special congratulations go out this week to Joe and Rachel Slate of Hartselle who will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on July 1. They have three sons, David, Daryl and Marc, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Youth Rally will be conducted on Saturday, June 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Shakers in Hartselle, next door to the Indoor Flea Market. The rally will be free to all youth in grades six through 12. Local contemporary Christian bands will be featured along with games. David Cross, youth minister at Central United Methodist Church in Decatur, will be the speaker. Anyone wishing more information about the rally may contact Lori Garner at 256-758-0607.
Special belated happy birthday wishes go out to Bari Camper on June 21 and Dale Bibb and Gerald Taylor, both on June 23.
Happy birthday wishes go out to June Austin on June 24, Tab Terrell and Garrett Vest, both on June 25 and LaVerle Cannon and Scott Byrd, both on June 26. Congratulations to each of you and may you have many more happy birthdays.
Special belated happy wedding anniversary wishes go out this week to Steve and Mary Terry. They enjoyed celebrating their 22nd wedding anniversary on Monday, June 21.
