Slates celebrate 60th anniversary

Special congratulations go out this week to Joe and Rachel Slate of Hartselle who will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on July 1. They have three sons, David, Daryl and Marc, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Youth Rally will be conducted on Saturday, June 26, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Shakers in Hartselle, next door to the Indoor Flea Market. The rally will be free to all youth in grades six through 12. Local contemporary Christian bands will be featured along with games. David Cross, youth minister at Central United Methodist Church in Decatur, will be the speaker.
