Edwin ‘Dewayne’ Young

Funeral for Edwin “Dewayne” Young, 57, of Hartselle was Thur., June 10, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Greg Standridge, Ralph Henderson and Greg Allred officiating.
Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Young died Tue., June 8, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Dec. 19, 1952, in Lousiana to Hubert Walter Young and Rosa Lee Wood Young. He was loved by everyone he knew and even some he had barely met. He was a caring and providing husband, the best dad in the world and loved his family very much. He served as a United States Marine and attended Tunsel Road Baptist Church. He was also a committee member of his grandson’s Scout Troup #496 in Loretto, Tenn. He loved his grandchildren and was very proud of them. He will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Ann Lawrence Young; a son, Jeremy Todd Young of Loretto, Tenn.; two daughters, Andrina Lynn Leathers of Hartselle and Haley Dawn Pettey of Priceville; two brothers, Rickey Don Young and Hubert Bruce Young, both of Decatur; two sisters, Vanessa Dale Kelso and Teresa Dee Glossner, both of Decatur; and five grandchildren, Candace Brooke Shelton, Alexis Brilynn Shelton and Victoria Faith Shelton, all of Decatur, Nicholas Todd Young and Melody Marie Young, both of Loretto, Tenn.
Pallbearers were James Lawrence, Richard Jones, Jacob Henderson, Ronnie Adams, Joey Lindsey and Glenn Standridge.
