Shady Grove Church planning women’s event
Shady Grove Baptist Church will host a Women’s Conference on Saturday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guest speaker will be Carrie McDonald. She will share her compelling story of love, light and healing—“Facing Terror”—while serving as a foreign missionary with her late husband, David. She will also speak at the church’s Sunday morning service on June 13 at 10:30 a.m.
Neel Volunteer Fire Department will host a Women’s Expo on Sunday, June 13, at the fire hall from 2 to 4 p.m. Everyone is invited to come see what some of our local businesses have to offer.

A “Benefit Trail Ride” will be conducted in the Bankhead Forest June 12, beginning at 11 a.m. This event is being sponsored by EASI (Equines Assisting Special Individuals). This benefit is devoted to bringing the healing power of the horse to persons with disabilities and special needs. All proceeds will go to EASI. A therapeutic horseback riding center.
