Louise Blackwood Warren

Funeral for Louise Blackwood Warren, 90, of Danville was Sun., June 6, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Holmes officiating.
Burial was in Herring Cemetery.
Mrs. Warren died Fri., June 4, 2010, with her three beloved children by her side. She was born June 28, 1919, in Morgan County to Issac Elijah Blackwood and Annie Sandlin Blackwood. She was happy her entire life and healthy until the last year. She was a member of McKendree United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved entertaining. She was an excellent cook and loved working in her garden. She had worked 20 years at the Danville School cafeteria and loved her life on the family farm on Hopewell Road where she lived for 64 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Coleman Blackwood and Wheeler Blackwood; and two sisters, Lorene Tanner and Nina Kilpatrick.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Truel Warren of Danville; a son, Jerry Warren and wife Tammy of Huntsville; two daughters, Shirley Johnson and husband Don of Somerville and Jennier Hames and husband Rick of Danville; a sister, Lavern Reid of Cullman; nine grandchildren, Todd Davis, Jessica Holmes and husband Jeremy, Matt Hames and wife Haley, Jeanna Balestreri and husband Tom, Jerrod Warren, Mitchell Warren, Dylan Warren, Andy Johnson and wife Kara and Jason Johnson and wife Arlana; seven great-grandchildren, Caleb Davis, Rachael Davis, Tristan Holmes, Samuel Holmes, Ella Grace Johnson, Sonny Johnson and Madelyn Hames.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Special thanks to her caregivers Angel Orr, Sandra Barnett, Jack Harvey and the staff of Summerford Nursing Home.
