Funeral for Willie B. Foote, 81, of Hartselle will be Thursday (today), June 3, at 1 p.m. at Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry McElroy and Gary Miller officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Foote died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at his residence. He was born Oct. 9, 1928, in Morgan County to Arthur “Homer” Foote and Lillie V. Rodgers Foote. He was a member of Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church for 63 years and was retired from the Alabama Army National Guards after 43 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Howard Foote; and two sisters, Lillie D. Goad and husband Pete and Faye Richards and husband Jerry.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Foote; two sons, Norman Foote and wife Raymonda of Falkville and Steve Foote of Hartselle; two brothers, Richard Foote and wife Sharon of Moulton and Jerry Foote and wife Sue of Decatur; five sisters, Peggy Harvel of Sylacauga, Frances Shaneyfelt and husband Billy and Debbie Miller and husband Ronnie, all of Hartselle, ALinda Terry and husband Bill of Danville and Helen Johnson and husband Ellis of Falkville; four grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.
