Herman W. Sandlin

A graveside service for Herman W. Sandlin, 82, of Falkville was Wednesday, June 2, at 1:30 p.m. at Roundtop Cemetery near Falkville with the Rev. Pearl Jenkins officiating. Air Force military honors were given after the service at Peck Funeral Home Chapel in Hartselle from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Mr. Sandlin died Sat., May 29, 2010, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born Feb. 22, 1928, in Morgan County to Benjamin Sandlin and Bertha Blankenship Sandlin. He was retired from Overnite Transport as a truck driver. His wife, Margaret Sandlin, preceded him in death
He is survived by three sons, Roger Sandlin and wife Susan of Trumann, Ark., Bruce A Sandlin and wife Karen and Keith Sandlin and wife Jeanette, all of Montgomery; two daughters, Susan Mims and husband James of Montgomery and Cheryl George of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Howard Sandlin of Falkville; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Grandchildren were pallbearers.
