Danville News – Danville cheerleaders sponsor yard sale
Danville High School cheerleaders will sponsor a yard sale and car wash as a fundraiser at Shady Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The cheerleaders are working really hard to raise the funds they need to attend a summer camp at the University of Alabama. In addition to the yard sale and car wash, they are accepting donations for a drawing of a homemade quilt, a $50 Texaco gas card, a tanning package and gift basket from Endless Summer Tanning in Danville ($70 value), a $20 gift certificate from Pig Stand BBQ in Hartselle, a $50 sampler platter from Zaxby’s, an OPI gift basket from Mane Street Salon ($25 value), a digital camera, a gift basket from Beehive Bathhouse in Hartselle and a $30 gift certificate from Once Upon a Time Consignment Shop in Hartselle.
Best wishes for a wonderful birthday go out to a friend, Mildred Wigginton of Hartselle. Mildred was 16 and holding on Tuesday, May 4. Congratulations Mildred and may you have many more happy birthdays.
Special congratulations go out this week to Danville High School students Regan LaRoche and Sara Terry, both of whom have signed a softball scholarship with Northwest Shoals Community College.
Special belated happy wedding anniversary wishes go out to Bobby and Nell Dobbins. They enjoyed celebrating their 29th anniversary on Tuesday, May 11.
Best wishes for a happy wedding anniversary go out to Jerry and Janet Reynolds. They will celebrate their 19th anniversary on Sunday, May 16.
I want to send a happy Mother’s Day wish to my mom, Bessie Ward, in Heaven. She went to be with the Lord on Oct. 18, 2009. I love you mom and I miss you very much.
