Funeral for the Rev. Therman Briscoe Tipton, 79, of Hartselle was Sat., Mar. 27, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chuck Oden officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Rev. Tipton died Tues., Mar. 23, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital.
He was a minister and a member of Victory Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Tipton; a son-in-law, Thomas Kincaid; his parents; and two brothers, Horace and Charles Tipton.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie R. Tipton; a son, Therman A. Tipton and wife Catherine of Moulton; three daughters, Nanette Luna and husband Frank of New Braunfels, Tex., Sybil Kincaid of Shelby, N.C. and Rebecca Stewart and husband Arnie of Hartselle; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Arnold Stewart, Eddie Hannah, James Tipton, Johnny Guerrero, Johnny Jones and Bobby Edge.
Honorary pallbearers were Johnathan Tipton, Justin Tipton, Joseph Tipton and Curtis Slaten.
