Funeral for Dorothy Wood, 74, of Hartselle was Sun., Mar. 14, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig Corbin officiating.
Burial was in Valhermoso Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Wood died Thurs., Mar. 11, 2010, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born Nov. 13, 1935, in Mississippi to Leonard Harris and Gracie Randolph Harris. She was a member of Rural Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas Wood.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Wood and wife Chicket of Huntsville and Carl Wood and wife Liz of Guntersville; three grandchildren, Gabriel Wood, Amber Kelly and Sarah Wood; two great-grandchildren, Kaleb Wood and Shyanne Wood; stepgrandchildren, Jessie and Matthe Hawkins and their children, Gracie, Joel, Julia and Micah, Elizabeth and Steven Dunne and their child Anna; and a stepgrandson, Joseph Manley Erdy, Jr.
Pallbearers were Tyler Kelly, Gabriel Wood, Ben Taylor and Rodney Nixon.
