Funeral for “Little Granny” Lois Vest Dalrymple, 89, was Saturday, October 24, at 1 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom McElyea officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Dalrymple died Wed., October 21, 2009, at Decatur Health and Rehab. She was born October 23, 1919, in Morgan County to Willie Rivers Vest and Ida Mae Proctor Vest. She was a member of Flint United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Ernest Dalrymple and wife Millie of Milton, Fla.; a daughter, Linda Ferguson McElyea and husband Tom of Hartselle; a sister, Edna Vest Vines of Hartselle; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were grandsons and great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The Good Shepherd Children’s Home, 203 Woodcraft Drive, Murfreesboro, TN 37127.
