Funeral for Billy G. Eddy, 79, of Hartselle was Tuesday, October 27, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewitt Crowe officiating.
Burial was in Mount Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Eddy died Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born August 1, 1930, in Marshall County to Waymon Edward Eddy and Grace Lee Thomas Eddy. He served in the Korean War in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Shirley Eddy; two brothers, Troy and Thomas Eddy; and two sisters, Verner Shumake and Opal Locke.
He is survived by three daughters, Cathy Wilhite of Decatur; Shelia Steele of Falkville and Pamela Powell of Hartselle; a sister, Myra Ward of Cullman; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Henry Thompson, Paul Waters, James Holladay, Kenneth Johnson, Ronnie Shumake, Phil Roberts, Roger Pendley and Jimmy Steele.
