Sandra ’Sandi’ Faye Long Hill

Funeral for Sandra “Sandi” Faye Long Hill, 60, of Danville was Friday, March 6, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Howell Dean Eddy officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Hill died Monday, March 2, 2009, at her residence following a long illness. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and was well known in the Danville-Neel community, where for many years she and her husband operated Hill’s Grocery. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her family was the pride of her life. Many people enjoyed her wonderful sense of humor, her laughter and her love. She never met a stranger and loved all she met and all loved her. She will be greatly missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, George Cullen Long and Connie Pearl Moates and a sister, Diane Gean Welch.
She is survived by her life long companion and best friend, Jerry Lee Hill of Neel; two daughters, Kimberly Diane Engle and husband Arie and Melissa Ann Brown and husband Harold, all of Trinity; a son, Christopher Lee Hill of Neel; a brother, Tony Allen Long of Pinkard; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joseph Thomas, Stephen Hart, Jimmy Moore, Bo Sparkman, Loyal Parker, Brandon Hitt, James Bibb and Brandon Bibb.
