Funeral for Ivett A. Mason, 79, of Cornersville, Tenn., was Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. at Gober Funeral Chapel in Arab with Monty Franklin officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery near Somerville.
Mr. Mason died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tenn. He was born April 24, 1929, in Morgan County to Virgil and Lola Maxwell Mason. He was a retired salesman for Alpha Lumber Co.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Mason of Cornersville, Tenn; a daughter, Linda Houston of Hartselle; a stepson, Timothy McWhorter of Arab; two stepdaughters, Pamela Murphree and Terrie Carie, both of Tennessee; a brother, Gwinn Mason of Eva; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tim Stinson, Donny Groves, Eric Byrd, Jeremy Sandlin, Tyler Henry and Nick Groves.
Honorary pallbearer was Brandon McWhorter.
