By By Clif Knight, Hartselle Enquirer
Privilege licenses for corporations, partnerships and individuals doing business in Hartselle are due and payable through Jan. 31 without penalty, according to Renee Shadden, Hartselle business licenses clerk.
The city’s business license ordinance has undergone two changes in the past year. The fee for a vending machine is now $20 per machine per year and the fee for a gasoline pump is $50 for the first pump and $25 for each additional pump.
The city received $766,753 from privilege license fees in fiscal 2007-08 and has budgeted receipts totaling $748,000 for fiscal 2008-09.
