Funeral for Gladys A. Suit, 92, of Valhermoso Springs was Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ron Manly officiating.
Burial was in Valhermoso Holiness Cemetery.
Mrs. Suit died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at her residence. She was born June 4, 1916, in Lawrence County to Edward Andy Johnson and Bessy Merdil Mears Johnson. She was a member of Valhermoso Baptist Church, a mother of seven children and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doiley Thomas Suit.
She is survived by five sons, William Edward Suit, Johnsley A. Suit, Doiley Junior Suit, Mack Coleman Suit and Michael Suit, all of Valhermoso Springs; two daughters, Dorothy F. Brown of Valhermoso Springs and Gladys Diann Couch of Gadsden; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great -grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brandon Smith, Joel Smith, Cody Smith, Kody McDonald, Doc Jeremiah Suit, Auston West, Lenord Suit and Sam Suit.
