Mary Evelyn Whitson Sanford

Funeral for Mary Evelyn Whitson Sanford, 83, of Danville was Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Sam F. Binkley and Bill Hall officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanford died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, at Triumph Hospital in Tomball, Tex. She was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Northport to Joseph Wheeler Whitson and Essie Gay Marlowe Whitson. She was a member of Westview Church of Christ. Her husband, Charles Herbert Sanford, preceded her in death.
She is survived by four children, Charles and Yvonne Sanford, Lynn and Bill Strickland, Cheryl and Rudy Black and Joe Sanford; six grandchildren, Erika and William Turner, Suzanne and Michael Hammonds, Bryan Sanford, Will Strickland, Brie and Vince Grossi and Isaac and Erica Sanford; and three great-grandchildren, Evan Sanford, Reuben Turner and Mary Kate Turner.
Pallbearers were Isaac Sanford, William Turner, Brian Sanford and Michael Hammonds.
