Funeral for Joe Emett Osborn, 83, of Hartselle was Saturday, Sept. 20, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ray Remke officiating.
Burial was in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Osborn died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008, at his residence. He was born Aug. 13, 1925, in Morgan County to Jordan Freeman Osborn and Alice Mae Osborn. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was retired from Standard Oil Company. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harold Osborn, Buddy Osborn and Nealy Osborn.
He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica Osborn of Hartselle; a son, Larry Osborn of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughters, Jo Ann Osborn of Moulton and Gayle Simmons of Decatur; five grandchildren, Christie Teague of Moulton, Jessica Miller of Decatur, Scot Simmons of Ft. Collins, Colo. and Jennifer and Pamela Osborn of Cincinnati; four great-grandchildren, Forrest and Colton Teague of Moulton and Neelie and Olivia Miller of Decatur; a sister, Sarah Foote of Gadsden; and a brother, Jordan Osborn of Lincoln, Neb.
Pallbearers were Don Dial, Greg Simmons, George Osborn, Forrest Teague, Ray Osborne and Kerry Sharrott.
