Violet H. Sharp

Funeral for Violet H. Sharp, 89, of Somerville was Sunday, Aug.10, at 2 p.m. at Somerville Church of God with Pearl Jenkins, Gary Webster and Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Sharp died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at her residence. She was born May 21, 1919, in Morgan County to John Billings and Annie Warren Billings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd C. Sharp, six brothers and six sisters. She was a homemaker and loving mother.
She is survived by two sons, William Michael (Mike) Sharp and wife Sandra of Northport and Charles Richard (Rick) Sharp and wife Christine of Somerville; three sisters, Ruth Allen, Evelyn Mason and Rachael Watson; two half-brothers, Bobby McAlister and wife Jeri Lynn and Ed McAlister; two half-sisters, Joyce Miller and Martha Faye Bates; eight grandchildren, Candy Turney, Anthony Sharp, Brian Sharp and wife Regina, Michelle Sharp Randolph and husband Brian, Jeremy Sharp, Nikki Sharp, Christopher Sharp and Brandon Sharp; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Anthony Sharp, Brian Sharp, Jeremy Sharp, Christopher Sharp, Brandon Sharp and Brian Randolph.
