Card, McKenzie to wed
Rev. and Mrs. Eddie Card of Lilburn, Ga. announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Card to Rhett Madison McKenzie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne McKenzie of Fort Mill, S.C.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. Lyndon Montgomery of Hartselle and Mr. William Young Card and Ms. Peggy Clardy of Birmingham.
She graduated summa cum laude from Samford University in 2004, where she earned a bachelor of music degree. In 2007.
She graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Forth Worth, Tex. with a master of arts. She currently resides in Texas, where she is a teacher in the Keller Independent School District and a member of the Texas Music Educator’s Association.
The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Barbara Young and the late Mr. Joseph Young and Mrs. Joyce McKenzie and the late Mr. Roland McKenzie, all of Baton Rouge, La.
He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2004, where he earned a bachelor of science degree. He is currently employed by OGM Land Company.
The wedding is planned for July 12, 2008 at Briarlake Baptist Church in Decatur, Georgia.
Crow, Summerford to wed
Debbie and Emmett Bell of Hartselle and Stanley and Deanna Crow of Danville announce the engagement of their daughter, Jaime Lyn Crow of Hartselle, to Jeffrey Paul Summerford of Hartselle, son of Rev. A. Paul and Peggy Summerford of Hartselle.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Blanton and Helen Adair of Hartselle and Billy and Betty Crow of Danville. She is a 1997 graduate of Danville High School and a 2001 graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in apparel marketing.
The groom is a 1997 graduate of Hartselle High School and attends Calhoun Community College where he is pursuing a degree in human resource management.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 4, 2008, at 2 p.m. at East Highland Baptist Church in Hartselle. The reception will be immediately following the ceremony at Fairview Church of God in Falkville.
