Poker run roaring again

By Staff
Special to the Enquirer
You do not have to be a motorcycle rider to enjoy the annual Wings of Thunder Charity Ride and Poker Run. Set for May 17 at the Hartselle Plaza in Hartselle, the Charity Ride and Poker Run takes riders through three counties while spectators enjoy a day of musical entertainment, vendors and a bike and car show. Bike games will take place when the riders return and everyone will get to witness how skilled the riders truly are.
Admission is free for spectators; the cost to participate in the Charity Ride and Poker Run is $20 per person. To register for the Charity Ride and Poker Run, contact the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce at 1-800-294-0692.
The event is sponsored by the Hartselle Civitan’s Club and will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Hartselle-Morgan County S.N.A.P. (Special Needs Accessible Playground), and provide Civitan scholarships for high school students for college as well as send students to Youth Leadership Conference in Searcy, Ark.
