Frances Elizabeth Norwood

A graveside service for Frances Elizabeth Norwood, 65, of Somerville will be Thursday (today), Apr. 10, at 2 p.m. at Hartselle City Cemetery with the Rev. Rob Jackson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Norwood died Monday, Apr. 7, 2008, at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. She was born May 31, 1942, in Morgan County to Bryan Keener Layman and Mary Kyker Layman. She was raised at Flint Baptist Church where she attended for many years. She was owner and operator of Simply Delicious Bakery &Eatery. Her work garnered her several professional awards and public recognition.
She is survived by her husband, David Howell Norwood Sr. of Somerville; a son, David Howell Norwood Jr. and wife Tracy of Decatur; and daughter, Stacey Leigh Norwood of Birmingham.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Stockton, Johnny Jones, Prentice Taylor, Chris Marchbanks, Steven Wright and D.T. Shackelford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Salvation Army, P.O. Box 807, Decatur, AL 35602.
