Cook, Walters to wed
Richard and Debbie Hammock of Stuart, Fla. and Kerry Cook of Chicago announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Elyse, to Christopher Allen Walters, son of Joe and Sheila Walters of Tuscumbia and formerly of Hartselle.
The future bride is a 2003 graduate of Martin County High School and a 2007 graduate of Mercer University, Macon Ga., in 2007. She is employed with TBC Corp. in Juno Beach as a treasury accountant. The future groom is a 2002 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2006 graduate of Mercer University. He is pursuing a masters of art in secondary education at the University of North Alabama. He is employed as a quality engineer at Sanmina-SCI Inc. in Huntsville.
The wedding is planned for June 28, 2008 in Stuart, Fla.
Staton, Jones to wed
Tim and Lisa Staton of Arab announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittney Nicole Staton, to Kyle Don Jones, son of Don and Donna Jones of Falkville.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Welton and Sara Tidmore of Arab and the late Earline Staton.
The future groom is the grandson of Joe and Mary Kyle of Falkville, Mildred Jones of Falkville and the late Silas Jones. He is a 2006 graduate of Falkville High School.
The wedding is planned for April 19 at 2 p.m. at Mt. View Baptist Church.
Miller, Simpson to wed
Reverend and Mrs. Michael Miller of Columbiana announce the engagement of their daughter, Leah Meredith, to Casey John Simpson, the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Simpson of McMinnville, Tenn.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Miller of Decatur and Mr. and Mrs. Howell McCaghren of Danville. She is the great-granddaughter of Faye Moore of Belmont, Miss. A 2003 graduate of Shelby County High School in Columbiana, she recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of Montevallo, where she received a bachelor of science degree in mass communications and communication studies.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Hatchett of Chickasha, Okla.; Mr. Lonnie Davis of St. Lucia; Cora Simpson of Sparta, Tenn. and the late David Luther Simpson of Sparta.
He is a 2001 graduate of Warren County High School in McMinnville and a 2005 graduate of the University of Montevallo, where he played soccer and majored in business administration. He is currently employed at Warren County Livestock and D.M. Simpson and Company Real Estate, both in McMinnville.
The wedding is planned for April 19, 2008, at 6 p.m. First Baptist Church of Columbiana. The bride’s father will officiate.
After a honeymoon trip to Antigua, the couple will reside in Warren County, Tenn.
