Lola Bell Cosper Pirkle

Funeral for Lola Bell Cosper Pirkle, 87, of Decatur was Sunday, Aug. 12, at 4:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Pirkle died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, at Huntsville Hospital.
She was born February 19, 1920, in Morgan County to Joseph Berry Cosper and Annie Alma Russell Cosper. She was a member, past president and district president of American Legion Post 15 Auxiliary, a member and past president of the 8 and 10 organization and a lifetime member of Ninth Street Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Bruce Pirkle.
She is survived by a son, Larry "Bimbo" Pirkle of Decatur; three daughters, Linda Pirkle Morris of Smyrna, Tenn., Jane Pirkle Coley of Hartselle and Dinah Lee of Decatur; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alacare Hospice of Decatur.
