Noah Gordon Pounders

Funeral for Noah Gordon Pounders, 88, of Cullman was Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Ray Bennett, Troy Pounders, Rev. Mark Pounders and Bishop Jackie Pounders officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Pounders died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at Cullman Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 28, 1918, in Franklin County to Waymon Pounders and Pearl Brewer Pounders.
He was a member of Falkville Church of God and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Pauline Pounders; a son, David Pounders; a sister, Elsie Gibson; and four brothers, Hudon, Oriel, Clyde and Don Pounders.
He is survived by three sons, Cecil Pounders of Decatur, Bishop Jackie Pounders of Bush, La., and Mark Pounders of Dayton, Ohio; three daughters, Judy Lee of Hartselle, Imogene Bradley of Rainsville and Debbie Gray of Haleyville; five brothers, Jelian Pounders, Marce Pounders and Lonie Pounders, all of Russelville, Troy Pounders of Moulton and Berlon Pounders of Florence; three sisters, Louise Warhurst, Ruby McCarley and Gussie McCarley, all of Russellville; 18 grandchildren, Landon Bradley, Tara Bradley, Ronnie Gray, Aaron Gray, Tiffany Gray, Rachel Pounders, Rebecca Pounders, Justin Pounders, Jammie Pounders, Mischelle Pounders, Jason Pounders, Jeremy Pounders and Vania Pounders; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Landon Bradley, Aaron Gray, Justin Pounders, Tom Bradley and Jammie Pounders.
