William Thomas Norman

Funeral for William Thomas Norman, 60, of Hartselle was Friday, Sept. 29, at 3:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Goodall, Ted Kolen and Jimmy Roberts officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Norman died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006. He was born Aug. 28, 1946, in Cullman to William Dillard Norman and Ruby Self Norman. He loved gardening, gathering information about family ancestors, was a voracious reader and an Alabama football fan. His pride in his Marine Corps service and his tour of duty in Vietnam made him a proud American. He was a member of Westview Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, W. D. Norman; a granddaughter, Melody Rain Norman; and a nephew, Daniel Sean Richards.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Deborah Wallace Norman of Hartselle; two sons, Jason Thomas Norman and Peter Sloan Norman, both of Hartselle; his mother, Ruby Self Norman of Hartselle; a brother, Guy Self Norman of Hartselle; six sisters, Caroline Dejonker of Hartselle, Julia McLean of Hoover, Kathy McGinley of Nashville, Tenn., Becky Giney of Chicago, Ill., Lee Ann Cocke of Tampa, Fla. and Elizabeth Dean of Prattville; and a grandson, Mason Norman.
Pallbearers were Lee Richards, Steve Richards, Josh McLean, Nick Norman, Jeff Anders and T.J. Russell.
