Wm. Harold Hopper

Funeral for Wm. Harold Hopper, 63, of Falkville was Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m. at New Center Baptist Church with Bro. Harold Brown officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in New Center Cemetery.
Mr. Hopper died Sunday, Sept. 24. 2006, at his residence. He was born Aug. 2, 1943, in Morgan County to William Erskin Hopper and Virgie Dorothy Davis Hopper.
He was owner and operator of Hopper Construction Co. in Hartselle for more than 30 years.
He was a decorated veteran who served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was in the First Calvary Division.
He was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Erskin Hopper; his father, William Erskin Hopper; and a brother, Marvin Franklin Hopper.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Hopper of Hartselle; a son, Chris Hopper of Falkville; two daughters, Tina Bader of Hartselle and Amanda Hutton of Falkville; his mother, Virgie Hopper of Decatur; three brothers, Paul Hopper of Ardmore, Tenn. Wayne Hopper of Priceville and Mark Hopper of Austin, Tex.; five sisters, Elizabeth Blankenship, Martha Reeves, Carolyn Watts and Annette Bost, all of Hartselle, and Janice Hagood of Decatur; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers were George McDonald, Brad Edmonson, Nathan Edmonson, Craig Riddle, Josh Riddle and Gary Blankenship.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley or The American Cancer Society.
