A Falkville man was arrested last week after agents with the Morgan County Drug Task Force found more than 30 marijuana plants growing outside his home.
Phillip Scott Smith, 46, of 616 East Piney Grove Road is charged with first degree possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Agents with the Morgan County Drug Task Force were joined by agents with the Alabama State Trooper’s Marijuana Eradication Air Unit in investigating reports of marijuana growing outside Smith’s home. Agents flew above the home and spotted plants growing around the home. The plants ranged from three to four feet tall. Agents also recovered a scale and two handguns at the home.
Bond for Smith was set at $25,500.
