Elma Trosper

Funeral for Elma Trosper, 66, of Valhermoso Springs was Saturday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. at Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church with the Revs. Melvin E. Brown and Millard Guffey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Trosper died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006, at her residence. She was born January 24, 1940, in Morgan County to O.C. Edgar Ransom and Virgie Elizabeth Taylor Ransom. She received the Holy Ghost at Valhermoso Springs Way of Holiness Church in 1967 and was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Donald Ray Trosper of Valhermoso Springs; two sons, Michael Dean Trosper and wife Rebecca, and Houston Leon Ransom Jr. and wife Nathsha, all of Valhermoso Springs; two daughters, Lisa Michelle Trosper Graveman and husband David, and Penny Lea Trosper Gravemen, all of Lacey’s Spring; a brother, Houston Leon Ransom of Huntsville; four sisters, Zola Mae Pruitt, Cora Jean Barber, and Lavada Nell Barber, all of Huntsville, and Alice Faye Ransom of Valhermoso Springs; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Hurshel Thompson, Walter Wilson, Gary Thompson, Jerry Brown, Joel Wilson and Stanley Boyett.
