Reeves captures Gulf Coast crown

Kimber Reeves, a 10th grade student at Lawrence County High, won the queen title at the recent Jr. Miss Gulf Coast pageant. She will represent Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Louisiana in the national competition at Disney World during the week of Thanksgiving.
Reeves is the daughter of Jeffrey and Kim Reeves and Kellie Reeves of Moulton.
She also won first runner up in talent at the state pageant, where she performed a song/dance/acting routine. She will be competing against other contestants from across the United States for thousands of dollars in cash scholarships and prizes.
As part of her pageant work, Reeves has interviewed and had pictures made with the Moulton and Decatur mayors and will be meeting with Gov. Bob Riley in September for an interview and photos.
Reeves is currently involved with her church at Corner Stone Christian.
She attends Studio One and Backstage Theatre studying voice and acting and has performed in many plays. She also attends Dancers Inc. studying ballet, jazz and modern dance.
