A graveside service for Margaret Curnel, 81, of Decatur was Thursday, Aug. 3, at Lola City Cemetery in Lola, Ky. on Friday, Aug. 4. Local arrangements were handled by Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Curnel died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006 at Decatur Health and Rehab Center. She was born March 29, 1925, in Kentucky. She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by a brother, Quinton Black.
She is survived by four sons, Alton Curnel of Arab, Roger Curnel of Plano, Texas, Melvin Curnel of Decatur and Stan Curnel of Hartselle; a daughter, Patti Jo Curnel of Plano, Texas, two brothers, Mike Black of Hartselle and Charles Black of Marion, Ky.; a sister, Grace Sheffer of Richmond, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
