Funeral for Lynda Faye McCay, 57, of Danville was Friday, Aug. 4, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wendell Callahan officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. McCay died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at Hartselle Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 25, 1948, in Morgan County to Fred McDonald and Hazel Ruby May Morris. She was a member of Oak Ridge Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry McCay of Danville; five sons, Billy James Bates and Terry Gene Bates, both of Athens, Mark Anthony McCay and Christopher Allen McCay, both of Hartselle, and Richard Stephen McCay of Neel; a daughter, Tamara Annette Johnson of Eva; five brothers, Billy Dale McDonald and John William McDonald, both of Hartselle, Bruce Wayne McDonald of Decatur, Jerry Dewight McDonald of Tanner and Edward Morris of Danville; three sisters, Francis Garner of Athens, and Jeanette Steeples and Mary Jane Moore, both of Decatur; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Troy Fortenberry, Roy Fortenberry, Jeff Steeples, Matt Bryant, Gregory McDonald and Timothy McDonald.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
