Funeral for James Henry, 80, of Somerville was Sunday, July 23, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Gamble officiating
A graveside service with full military honors followed in Somerville Cemetery.
Mr. Henry died Thursday, July 20, 2006, at his residence. He was born Dec. 6, 1925, in Morgan County to George Henry and Patty May Smallwood Henry. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church in Hartselle. He was a U.S. Marine veteran, having served during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bea Henry and a son, Greg Henry.
He is survived by a son, Gregory Henry Jr. of Cullman; a daughter, Brenda Moore of Somerville; three brothers, Hoyt Henry and John Henry, both of Somerville and George B. Henry of Union Hill; a sister, Kathleen Lorance of Somerville; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Life Care Hospice of Cullman County.
