Weddings and engagements

Blanchard, Miller wed
Erin Lynn Blanchard of Fayetteville, Tenn. and Jeremy Andrew Miller of Madison, Tenn. were wed Saturday, May 20, 2006, at 1 p.m. at Huntsville's Wedding Chapel on the Mountain.
The bride is the daughter of Jennifer Weinman Blanchard and Gregory Ralph Blanchard, both of Decatur. The groom is the son of Vicky and Jerry Miller of Hartselle.
The altar featured a triple-arched candelabra.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a champagne strapless gown of organza with a pleated bodice. She carried a bouquet of white roses and white calla lilies.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at 4 p.m. at Rhodes Ferry Park in Decatur.
The bride's table featured a three-tiered round basket weave cake with blue and purple hydrangea blooms made of frosting. The groom's table featured a two-tiered heart shaped chocolate basket weave cake with a large candy bow.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico. They will reside in Tennessee.
Hardin, Anderson wed
Shannon Nicole Hardin of Falkville and Stanley Jasen Anderson of Decatur were wed June 3, 2006, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Falkville with the Rev. Jack Lovelace officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Jimmy and Shelia Steele of Falkville and Frankie and Carol Hardin of Decatur. The groom is the son of Morris and Joanne Anderson of Decatur.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a sheath gown of silk satin-faced organza. The A-line design featured a draped torso with bullion and silver-stone embroidery on the waistline and back straps. Her cathedral veil with beadwork was attached to a tiara encrusted with princess shaped crystals and pearls. Her bouquet featured pink Anna and Vogue roses, lemon leaf and ivory satin bridal ribbon studded with pearls.
Jayme Fitzgerald of Falkville, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Amy Rothe of Decatur was maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Cindy Anderson of Danville, sister-in-law of the groom, Michele Cancilla and Hannah Witt, both of Hartselle, and April Looney of Decatur.
Charlee Anderson of Danville, niece of the groom, was junior bridesmaid.
Sydnee Fitzgerald of Falkville, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Jabe Anderson of Danville, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.
The groom's father was best man. Groomsmen were Scott Anderson of Danville, brother of the groom, Jaysen Woodruff and Steve Motsinger, both of Decatur, Clay Martin of Huntsville, and Jeff Jones of Nashville.
Evan Anderson of Danville, nephew of the groom, was junior groomsman.
Ushers were Marty Nelson of Tanner, Anthony McDaniel and Scott Wilhite, both of Decatur.
Music was provided Patricia Ramey and Pam Blevins and vocalists Meredith Lovelace and Rodney Anderson.
Frances Vest Rowe was wedding director.
Pamela Powell, Cathy Wilhite, Sandra Hagood, Lana Hagood and Rebecca Hagood assisted with the reception.
Betsy Motsinger attended the bride's book.
Jade Tarpley was program attendant.
The couple honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica. They reside in Decatur.
A rehearsal party hosted by the parents of the groom was held June 2 in the church's fellowship hall.

Ashley Nicole Steele of New Smyrna Beach, Fla. and James Samuel Wallace Jr. of Muscle Shoals were wed Saturday, May 20, 2006, at 2 p.m. at York Terrace Baptist Church in Sheffield with the Rev. Sammy Wallace officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Archie and Cindy Steele of Hilton Head Island, S.C. The groom is the son of the Rev. Sammy and Debbie Wallace of Muscle Shoals.
The church was decorated with a center arch adorned with ivy and candelabra on each side and a unity candle under the arch. The pews were decorated with bows of tulle.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a formal gown of white duchess satin and Alencon lace. The strapless gown was fashioned with a molded bodice that gently laid over the natural waistline. The ball gown skirt was adorned with lace and swept to a cathedral train, which was also detailed with laced. Her veil was lovingly handmade by her mother. She carried a multicolored bouquet of bright, long-stemmed roses.
Alyson Steele of Hilton Head, S.C., sister of the bride, was maid of honor.
Bridal attendants were Tami Garcia, Nora Calderon and Mackenzie Besch, all of Tampa, Fla., Lindsey Durden of Memphis, Tenn., Angie Parker of Phil Campbell, sister of the groom, and Felicia Rutledge of Harvest, sister of the groom.
Bridal attendants wore strapless, A-line tea length dresses of cornflower blue with a white ribbon sash. They each carried a single long-stemmed peach rose.
Mollie Melton of Sheffield and Carolyn Beverly of Thomasville were flower girls. Weldon Aydelott of Linden was ring bearer.
Randy Melton of Sheffield was best man.
Groomsmen were Dwayne Murphy and Thomas Barnes, both of Sheffield, David Watts of Florence, Andy Rutledge of Harvest, Kenneth Parker of Phil Campbell, and David McCleskey of Hilton Head, S.C. Groomsmen also served as ushers and candle lighters.
Music was provided by Robin Akers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the fellowship hall. Dawn Aydelott was wedding director.
Nanette Lassiter, Wendy Lewis, Alexis Tucker, Billie Ruth Scoggins, Ashton Scoggins and Charlotte Maples assisted with the reception.
Shaylee Bratton attended the bride's book.
The couple honeymooned in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They reside in Florence.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom's parents was held May 19 at the church.

Doug and Kim Brown of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Nicole Brown, to Ira Druen Davis, son of Harry and Janet Port of Florence and Ira and Sara Davis of Austin, Texas.
The bride-elect is a 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of North Alabama with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice with a psychology minor. At UNA, she was a member of Delta Epsilon Iota Society and the Gamma Epsilon National Criminal Justice Honor Society. She is the granddaughter of Ronald and Shirley Berry and Margaret Brown, all of Green Ridge, Mo.
The groom-elect is a graduate of McCallum High School in Austin, attended St. Edward's University in Austin, and served in the U.S. Army.
He is the grandson of Dalphne Davis of Alvin, Texas, the late Ishmael Davis, and the late Ivan and Mildred Druen.
The wedding will be July 15 at Hartselle First United Methodist Church.
Rutherford, Pike to wed
Betty and Bruce Kelso of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Nikki Nashay Rutherford, to Jamie Michael Pike, son of Connie and JL Pike Jr. of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Falkville High School and is attending Wallace State Community College.
She is employed with Wal-Mart Distribution of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Annie and Doyle Locke of Hartselle and Eloise Vernon of Speak.
The groom-elect is a 2006 graduate of Falkville High School and plans to attend Wallace State Community College in the fall. He is employed with Hartselle Kroger Deli. He is the grandson of Bonnie and Joe Kirby of Hartselle and Patricia and JL Pike Sr. of Eva.
The wedding will be Aug. 4 at New Covenant Church.
