Martha Omie Fortenberry

Funeral for Martha Omie Fortenberry, 95, of Decatur was Monday, May 15, at 2 p.m. at Eva Baptist Church with the Revs. Phillip Robinson and Gary Driver officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Fortenberry died Friday, May 12, 2006, at NHC Healthcare of Moulton. She was born April 21, 1911, in Morgan County to George W. Drinkard and Delia A. Hudgins Drinkard. She was a member of Eva Baptist Church for over 50 years. She was a nurse aide for five plus years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Worner W. Fortenberry; four sisters, Savannah Drinkard, Vestie Drinkard, Minnie Drinkard and Aline Drinkard; and a brother, Ezra Drinkard.
She is survived by a son, Jimmie Fortenberry of Decatur; a daughter, Nellow Dean Frost of Decatur; two sisters, Annie Ellenburg of Double Springs and Omerlene Hopper of Falkville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jason Fortenberry, Phillip Fortenberry, Keith Frost, Alan Drinkard, Kenneth Drinkard and Glenn Hopper.
