Funeral for Edward Murphy, 77, of Falkville was Monday, May 15, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry McElroy officiating.
Burial was in Cook Cemetery.
Mr. Murphy died Friday, May 12, 2006, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a dairy farmer, a carpenter and a member of Cedar Creek Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Carl, Oscar, Ode, W. L. and R. B. Murphy; and two sisters, Ruth Clardy and Lottie Stevens.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Turney Murphy of Falkville; three daughters, Sandra Hale and husband Jerry of Moulton; and Tracy Nelson and husband Steve and Jennifer Greenwell and husband Jon, all of Decatur; six grandchildren, Heather Saavedra and husband Julio, Jesse Shelton and husband Cody, Matthew, Eric and Justin Greenwell; and three great-grandchildren, Breanna, Junior and Francisco Saavedra.
Pallbearers were David McNutt, Jon Greenwell, Connie Walling, Terry Miller, Ray Miller, Joe Wright and Jessie Childers.
