Lady Tigers tennis knocks off Boaz

At No. 1 singles, Candice Light defeated Nancy Machen 6-3, 6-2. Dana Watson knocked off Kristen Drake 3-6, 6-1 (10-4) at No. 4; Brittany Woodall defeated Jessica Simpson 6-2, 6-0 at No. 5; and Jessica Niles knocked off Laura Leeth 6-0, 6-1 at No.6 singles.
In the doubles competition, the team of Light and McElwee took their match by a 10-6 score and the team of Kilgore and Watson took their match by a 10-4 score.
Boaz boys 5
Hartselle boys 4
Keeton Light took a win at the No. 1 singles spot, Anthony Penick won at No. 2 and Alex Brown took the victory at No. 3. Jeremy Roper also defeated his opponent in the No. 7 singles spot.
In the doubles competition, the team of Light and Penick won their match by a 10-8 score.
Gadsden girls 8
Hartselle girls 1
The only victory for Hartselle was Brittany Woodall at No. 5 singles, who defeated Claire Condra 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
Gadsden boys 8
Hartselle boys 1
The Tigers got their one win from Keeton Light, who took the victory in a hard-fought battle at the No. 1 spot. He defeated Gadsden's Ronak Patel 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
