April 6, 1956-Guy Holloway is a medical patient at Hartselle Hospital. The Sparkman twins (Ronnie and Ronald) recently had surgery.
April 6, 1956-Jimmy Millwood, Joy Turney, Virginia Ann Fitzgerald, and Bill Stewart, Jr., recently participated in the annual library science convention held at Florence State Teachers College.
April 7, 1956-The Calvaleers Quartet, featuring MCHS graduate James Mays, performed in concert tonight at Riddle Auditorium.
April 7, 1956-Katherine Anne Dunaway is visiting friends at UA this weekend.
April 8, 1956-The MCHS school columnists have selected "Too Young to Go Steady" as the song of the week and dedicated to all who go steady.
April 9, 1956-Tyler Brothers, a name formerly connected with the grocery business in Hartselle, now is to be associated with an auto service station. James and Bill Tyler have recently bought out the stock of G. T. Miller's Cities Service station on West Main and are now operating at that place.
April 10, 1956-A musical ensemble composed of Bobby Hargett, piano; Bobby Cain, trumpet; Skipper Drinkard, sax; and D. C. Holloway, guitar, entertained members of the Kiwanis Club at their regular Smith's Restaurant meeting tonight.
April 11, 1956-Cadet Lt. Ralph Pattillo is now back at Gary Air Force Base at San Marcos, Texas, after spending a furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Pattillo.
April 12, 1956-Billy Don Aldridge, MCHS Tiger football standout, underwent nose surgery at St. Vincent's hospital in Birmingham today.
April 12, 1956-The foundation lines were laid out this week for the new home of Dr. Fred Sherrill, Jr., on High Street, next door to the present Sherrill residence.
