Police need raise
First, I want to say that Hartselle is a great place to live. Then we need to give our hardworking policemen and policewomen and firemen and firewomen a pay raise and some recognition. They all work hard to make Hartselle an excellent place to live, work and play. So thank you each and everyone. Now as for the trash trucks, it's not the trash men's fault the trucks break down. They are doing a great job, thank you trash men.
Woman wants work done
Editor's note: Portions of Tunsel Road are located within the county.
I have a problem with Richard Lyons. He is doing work for a gentlemen in Hartselle on Tunsel Road. He (the man where work is being done) has been denied two times by other commissioners. I live in the county in his district and he won't even come out and put me a culvert in.
Hartselle doesn't need expansion
Why would Hartselle even consider annexing land on the east side of the interstate when there are so many people on the west side of the interstate that want to be annexed and the city won't even consider annexing them? We live 1,500 feet west of the interstate, yet Hartselle police do not serve this area and our fire department has to come from Priceville Volunteer. Our children have to go half way around the county to get to Brewer School when we are only two miles from Hartselle schools. Doesn't make good sense does it?
Good going, team
Wonderful weather this weekend for some great baseball. All our young men played really great. Thanks to all the coaches, players, parents and family and friends who turned out and supported our teams. Oklahoma Sooners, you rock. Keep up the great team work.
On-line edition is good
As a native "Hartsellian" who reads the Hartselle Enquirer every week online, I think the new format is great. It looks fabulous and is very easy to read.
